Experimentation with A & S

My subject was an old run down school building. i have always been fascinated with buildings that are long forgotten because they show the ware and tare of the world around us. i really wanted to capture the repetition the building possesses as well as the different angles. i also wanted to include plants that have begun to call this building 'home' to show the tried and true statement that life does go on.

Polina,
Lots of really interesting pictures here--strong compositions, dramatic angles, a real tension with the grayish light, which works well.
Clearly you are comfortable with the camera's technical abilities, and with manipulating perspective and point of view. Its not clear to me how these images fulfill the assignment's goal of asking you to zoom in on one compositional element and push it to its two opposite extremes. It seems from your writing that you overlooked that part of the assignment. Please reshoot thinking about composition (reread the assignment) and post the new images to your blog by 10/14. If you have any questions, we can talk in class more tomorrow. See you then.
